Zontec Releases Synergy 3000 v 3.1 to Enable Customers to Save Time and Money

Zontec Inc. the international developer of Statistical Process Control (SPC) software solutions, today announced an update to its Synergy 3000™ for its customers worldwide. “Zontec customers know that they consistently receive new enhancements from us that enable them to make production corrections easily and in a timely manner,” said Zontec President Warren Ha. “We are just leveraging the possibilities of this product because it is built on Microsoft® .NET™.

Here is a brief list of these cutting-edge new features:

• A new Scorecard report that enables a user to instantly get a snapshot of their vital production metrics for up to 6 characteristics.
• Any videos related to the production can now be viewed within the application.
• Users now have the ability to define an often-referenced file as a “hyperlink” for one-click access to documents, images, websites or other software applications that are pertain to the product.
• To view more information about a specific data point, users can simply rollover it with their mouse.

SPC Cloud Computing is Here

Zontec has announced that its Synergy 3000™ SPC Software fully supports the cloud computing model. Designed from the outset so that users can gather organize and report on the huge data sets required by real-time statistical process control over the Internet, Synergy 3000 in a cloud computing environment satisfies a business’ need for a complete quality collaboration tool, enabling any authorized computer user anywhere in the world to:

• collect data
• monitor process status
• react to adverse events
• manage and troubleshoot the process
• prevent problems from being passed along to the next link in the supply chain
• track and trace
• exchange information with others and
• make sound business decisions based on accurate and reliable SPC data in a secure computing environment

That information service takes place via a “private cloud,” established and maintained by the organization’s own IT resources.

Synergy 1000 Version 7.0 Scheduled for December Release

Zontec has announced approximately 10 new features, enhancements and program improvements for its Synergy 1000™ Version 7.0 Statistical Process Control (SPC) Software that will be available for general release on December 1, 2010.

Synergy 1000 is designed for standalone PC implementations and local workgroup users. The application runs on Windows® XP, Windows Vista™ and Windows 7 operating systems.

The new release includes Windows 7 compatibility, easier setup for part, process and characteristic files, traceability tags, assignable cause and corrective action notes, as well as enhancements to the intercharacteristic math calculator, control limit calculations and control trend test alarm settings. Synergy 1000 users currently covered under the Annual Service Agreement Plan will receive the Version 7.0 software update prior to the official release date as one of their contract benefits.

Synergy 2000 Version 8.0 Update Now Shipping

A dozen significant software features, enhancements and program improvements have been added to Version 8.0 of Zontec’s Synergy 2000 SPC Software, available beginning today. The new features have been designed to streamline many of the routine program operations, making these tasks much more efficient and adding greater usability to the software.

Among the new features are faster setup options for parts, processes and quality characteristics, and templates that assist with the creation of ID and note tags for traceability, assignable causes and corrective actions.

Synergy 2000 Version 8.0 also incorporates short run, Delta and net weight functions into its single mode math calculator and the ability for production personnel to view video training content.

All new purchases of Synergy 2000 software placed on or after October 1, 2009 will be processed as Version 8.0 orders, and existing users under the annual Service Agreement Plan will automatically receive the 8.0 program update at no charge.

As part of our on-going continuous improvement effort, Zontec will release Synergy 2000™ Version 8.0 late in the third quarter of 2009. Most of the enhancements are outstanding convenience features designed to make the program easier to use than ever.

Consistent, regularly scheduled software updates have always been a high priority for Zontec and a major commitment to our customers. Synergy 2000 users currently covered under the Zontec Annual Service Agreement Plan will automatically receive the Version 8.0 update and documentation at no additional cost (along with a full year of unlimited Technical Support).

Zontec Products Are Windows 7 Ready

Zontec is pleased to announce the compatibility of the entire Synergy SPC software family with Microsoft Windows® 7 client operating system, which was issued for beta testing earlier this month. The next-generation Microsoft product features better performance, reliability and security. A release date for the final commercial version of Windows 7 has not been announced yet by Microsoft.

A Universal Data Interface Program for Synergy 1000 & Synergy 2000 SPC Software

The Synergy 2000™ Multi-function Toolbox is an easy-to-use utility program for transferring data into Synergy 2000 Statistical Process Control Software from a multitude of external information sources. The Toolbox is also compatible with Zontec’s Synergy 1000™ SPC application.

The Synergy 2000 Multi-function Toolbox is a complete, plug-and-play module that requires no additional programming or software customization. Once the external data has been transferred into the Synergy 2000 application, it is immediately available for SPC charting, analysis, monitoring or reporting.

The Toolbox has been developed using the latest Microsoft .NET programming environment for building connected applications that work productively from the device to the Data Center.
